OK People … we’ve actually had some good act happening on Twitter that you can actually follow our Twitter stream … and put your questions up by using the hashtag #GetVoIP We’ve just had a customer ask us a question right now … A person announced @Flowroutegeoff has asked “When would you chose Hosted VoIP over SIP[ laughter] … and the first thing I will say is OK Eric, ask SIP Trunking in layman’s periods … No trouble SIP Trunking is essentially dot dialtone it’s great distances or minutes that’s it With a SIP Trunking you’re not getting any aspects, you’re not getting any business class peculiarities like a virtual receptionist or voicemail Someone who’s supporting SIP Trunking is literally like a AT& T or Verizon instead of using copper line which is in a traditional for the last 100 years they’re using a substance wrinkle and some kind of internet signal. That’s SIP …. Hosted means that usually the person is gonna supply is not simply that dial manner that the calling plan but also peculiarity to go along with that. It’s a terminated container, so before we move on what do you think about those two definitions? I think you’re head on right on .. I would say SIP definitley has less offerrings As you mention it’s just the dialtone and the interval, you can use it in many different ways Maybe Michael can share some thoughts on that? With SIP you’re looking for a calling plan. I think it’s more suited for residential users who are looking for a answer less costly than the traditional “providers “, and not looking for all the features of a hosted answer Yep, … the hosted packages are definately far more advanced.Much more extensive furnishes … It simply depends I imply it varies from provider to provider all across the board right Eric? Yes I know I talk a lot with my hands I kinda feel like that escapade of where that guy’s got two beakers and the guy’s like “what do I do with my hands” It’s not even apples and oranges … it’s apples and Gondolas. They’re really, really different So here’s what I discover normally I be considered that hosted[ VoIP] tends to be a better fit for most tiny and mid-sized jobs So here’s some advantages of hosted and some advantages of SIP Hosted is nice,’ cause it’s a terminated box it’s a one stop shop. That’s always nice if you’re a smaller business and you don’t have an IT staff it can be very valuable to have that outsourced, of course you want to look at the quality of their support. The other nice thing about Hosted it’s very good at working with remote agencies or if you just go out to be able to work from dwelling. Not calamities but your kid gets sick your auto tires pop and you wanna work from residence hosted providers are very good at working with all kinds of Internet in addition to there’s always the features name that are there.I also think a good hosted provider has tragedy convalescence in imagination because if you lose neighbourhood power, or local Internet their shadow should still be in the cloud. Right? it’s just its term of office … When I look at Hosted some of the things that I truly target are in a 1 to 1000 employees and even one to five … several roles extremely when “youre starting” getting to a thousand employees that’s when the hosted[ VoIP] becomes really powerful and because of the strewn workforce and substance like that and anyone who wants to outsource the IT. SIP on the other hand I investigate two really good targets for that one: you’re tech savvy and you exactly experience playing with technology your want to set it up yourself you want to manage it yourself, you don’t mind if it has questions … and you wanna be the one secures it, there’s a lot of parties like that If that’s you that might be an option. The other method that I realise SIP very frequently is in very large company five thousand and above. Or 1000 above in a single location And they don’t have to deal with the dispersed work force. They precisely miss a big pipe coming in and they wanna control everything internally.
